Advertising Legal Notices

As a locally circulating, printed newspaper with a minimum distribution of 3,000 copies per month, Post Community Newspapers meet the criteria, and are recognised, as publications through which Premises License applications and Public Notices can be advertised in print to meet legal requirements.

As a free publication delivered to homes and numerous local stockists, The Post offers free access to the information that needs to be advertised through such notices without a barrier of cost or online access.

Please note - The Post is a monthly publication so please keep our print dates in mind to ensure we can get your notice advertised in the required time period. This may just take a small amount of planning, but it may also result in a more affordable advertising cost and ensures the notice actually reaches residents in the required area.

Premises Licenses

A requirement of the application for a Premises License is that the application notice be published ‘in a local newspaper… circulating in the vicinity of the premises.’ The Post is a printed, local circulating newspaper with stockists based within local shopping areas where restaurants, cafes, pubs and bars are located. The Post is also distributed directly to homes that are in the ‘vicinity’ of many of the location of restaurants, cafes, pubs and bars.

As such, The Post is able to publish application notices from new businesses looking to apply for a Premises License, as well existing businesses applying to change an existing license.

Please get in touch before with us to confirm our print date each month (The Post is always available from the fist Thursday each month) so that your application notice can meet the required time frame it is required to be advertised within.

Public Notices

With an area-specific Post published and distributed monthly across the areas listed above, The Post ensures that circulation figures actually reflect the volume of newspapers directly reaching residents via delivery to homes and local stockists within the area that notices need to be advertised and seen. In fact, our per issue circulation is often higher in each borough than many other ‘local’ newspapers (compare to abc reports).

The Post is delivered directly to homes and available from easy to access collection venues, including all local libraries - all at no cost to residents. Each of these methods of distribution can be targeted to satisfy the legal notice advertisement area and volume where required.

As The Post is free so there are no financial barriers preventing impacted residents from actually accessing and being made aware of notice information.

Please get in touch with us to confirm our print date each month (The Post is always available from the first Thursday) so that the publication of notices can be planned accordingly - we can even hold a space if there is a chance it may be needed right up until just a few hours before we actually go to print.
